La Trinité s/M (G or IIM)

LGB kwam uit met de loc met op de fabrieksplaat de naam van het Franse bedrijf Corpet Louvet. Dat kon ik natuurlijk niet weerstaan. Maar de loc zou te zien moeten zijn in een passende omgeving in plaats van in een vitrine of (nog erger) in een doos. Tijdens mijn vakantie vond ik in Voie Libre het idee in het artikel over de spoorlijn van Etel naar La Trinité s/M. Eureka! Ik begon met de zelfbouw van de rails met code 215 rails (Peco?). Dat spoor was het laagste dat mogelijk was zonder de flenzen van het LGB materieel aan te moeten passen. De gebouwen, zijn vooral gebouwd van karton en zand. De baan is gedetailleerd met o.a. materialen van Ozark Miniatures, Gecomodel en Baumann.

LGB came out with a beautiful loc made by the French firm “Corpet-Louvet”. With my name on the loco I couldn’t resist it. But a loco should perform on a lay out instead standing around in a glass case or even worse in a closed box. During my holidays I read in Voie Libre an article about the former line from Etel to La Trinité sur Mer and then it happened: the idea. I started with the rails; scratch built with code 215 rails (probably PECO). That was the lowest to use with the rather big flanges of the LGB rolling stock. The buildings, scratch built with mostly card and sand. Homemade furniture in the buildings and details from Ozark Miniatures, Baumann and Gecomodel. I made a Dion Boutin Railbus from mainly styrene and a Mashima motor and wrightlines gearbox. La Trinité can be seen in RAILZ in Rotterdam.
