Vinkeveen


		Vinkeveen (H0) During exhibitions we noticed that (at that time) there were only a very few layouts with a typical Dutch theme. In the time between two layouts Jan Willem notices a very ugly building along the highway: it appeared to be a railway workers house of the former line from Amsterdam to Hilversum known as the Haarlemmermeerline. On our search we found Vinkeveen an attractive place to realize. Typical Dutch parcelling out, a Dutch vegetable auction with boats, floating through the building, two balance-bridges and very specific steam locos etc. And a possibility to run some early diesels after the WW II. This lay out is now to visit in the local museum in Vinkeveen.




		*Vinkeveen* Tijdens tentoonstellingen viel ons op dat er (toen) relatief weinig banen met een herkenbaar Nederlands thema waren. Daarom besloten we om eens in deze richting te zoeken. Tijdens zijn rit over de snelweg, viel het oog van Jan Willem op een lelijk woonhuis, dat kennelijk behoorde tot de spoorlijn. Het bleek langs de Haarlemmermeerlijn te zijn en zo kwamen we uiteindelijk uit bij Vinkeveen. Dat bleek gedurende de bouw zelfs aantrekkelijker dan we al dachten:


	de typische verkaveling was ons al opgevallen maar de doorvaarveiling en de overige gebouwen waren echt leuk om te realiseren. Tevens was het mogelijk met speciale stoomlocs te rijden, maar zonder al te veel aanpassingen bleken ook (nieuwe) diesels inzetbaar. Deze modelbaan staat nu in het lokaal Museum te Vinkeveen.

Special Products

For Vinkeveen we used a lot of Silflor or Mininatur materials to create the typical green fields. This material is used together with the more known and better available Heki Wildgrass.
For the rails we used the profi series of Tillig and we must admit that this is a fine product. Although we made our points ourselves, we think we will use the point kits from Tillig instead for our new lay outs. Good value for your money.
